About the ARBPA
The Allegheny River Boulevard Preservation Association (ARBPA) was founded by local citizens in response to a growing concern about the degradation, neglect, and potential modern impacts of the historical features and aesthetic nature of the Boulevard.
Because of these features, Allegheny River Boulevard was designated in 1994 as a National Register Eligible Historic District extending ca. 6 miles, from Washington Boulevard in Pittsburgh, through Penn Hills and Verona, to Hulton Road in Oakmont.
ARBPA is a 501(c)3 nonprofit consisting of a five person volunteer Board of Directors, a volunteer Advisory Committee, and many local friends, partners and supporters.
OUR MISSION
The Allegheny River Boulevard Preservation Association’s mission is to restore, preserve and enhance the natural and built environments of the historic Allegheny River Boulevard scenic roadway by working with all interested parties to steward and improve the traveling experience of the communities and visitors of the Allegheny Valley.
